Merit System

The merit in DCET admission in Bachelor of Engineering is determined on the basis of S.S.C , H.S.C / B.Sc. / Diploma and pre-admission test. The test is ECAT type that includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English sections. The merit is the aggregate points from the score in test and marks in FSc/BSc (Past academic performance).

Merit Calculation and Minimum Requirement of Test Score

The merit in DCET normally touches the figure of 68% aggregate. The test plays a major role in the admission of an applicant. However; the merit rapidly declined downward for some category of engineering and reaches to 65% for least opted categories.

Fall and Spring Merit Waiting Lists of Selected Candidates

Merit List of selected candidates is displayed on the college notice board. Waiting lists are announced and displayed after 15 days each previous list. The selected candidate has to deposit the dues with in this period to confirm the admission.
Dawood College of Engineering & Technology offers admission (intake) once a year.
