BZU - IMS - Institute of Management Sciences

From 2015 onward, BZU does not require any test for BBA and MBA classes.

Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan established the Department of Business Administration in December, 1977 and classes for the first batch started on March 15, 1978. The Department has recently attained the status of an Institute and named as Institute of Management Sciences (IMS).

IMS Programs

The programs offered by BZU IMS are ranked high among other Pakistani institutes for business management.

  • MBA after BBA (Hons.) , MBA(IT) after BBA (Hons.)
  • MBA Postgraduate , MBA(IT) Postgraduate
  • MBA Banking , MBA Executive
  • Ph.D. in Business Administration , PGD in Clinical Psychology

The permanent faculty of the Institute consists of 30 teachers out of which 9 teachers have Ph.D. degrees in Business Administration from well reputed local and foreign universities.

The teachers are highly committed and motivated. 09 teachers from the faculty of the Institute are currently pursuing higher education from local and foreign universities. The Institute also has a large adjunct faculty consisting of senior teachers of other departments as well as experienced executives from business and industry.

The Institute has incomparable facilities in terms of class rooms, library and computer labs. Its complex consists of large number of air conditioned well equipped class rooms, with latest furniture and audio-visual system.

Test Preparation

BZU has a defined pattern for its admission test (entrytest). Admission Test for MBA is applicable to all other masters programs of IMS, similarly; the admission test for BBA is applicable to all other undergraduate programs offered by BZU- IMS. Eligibility for BBA (Hons.) and BBA (IT) Programs

Applicants who have passed their Intermediate examination or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution securing at least 45% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for admission in BBA (Hons.) and BBA (IT) Hons. programs of BZU IMS. Graduates are not eligible for admission in the BBA (Hons.) and BBA (IT) Hons. programs.

Computation of Merit

The merit shall be determined as under:-
Merit will be determined on the basis of 50 percent weight allocated to marks obtained in entrytest and 50 percent weight to marks obtained in Intermediate or equivalent examination including 20 marks for Hifz-e-Quran.

Eligibility for MBA, MBA (IT), and MBA (Banking) Programs

For admission in MBA program of BZU IMS, a candidate must have secured 45% marks in BA, BSc, B.Com. or any professional degree.

Computation of Merit

The merit shall be determined as under:-
Merit will be determined on the basis of 50 percent weight allocated to marks obtained in entry test and 50 percent weight to marks obtained in BA/BSc or equivalent examination including 20 marks for Hifz-e-Quran.
