Requirements

The minimum academic requirement for BBA/BS Programs is a Higher Secondary Certificate with 60% marks, irrespective of any field of study pursued up to intermediate level.

A-level students must have a minimum of a one 'B' and two 'Cs' in three principal subjects; no credit is applicable for any subsidiary, general, or advanced supplementary paper.

Applicants to the BS program must have taken Mathematics.

American High School Diploma is also accepted (with a minimum of 60%) or an International Baccalaureate (at least 28 points out of 45) or other equivalent qualifications irrespective of the field of study pursued.

Procedure

Admissions to all programs at the IBA are granted on merit and there are no reserved seats of any category.

The main criterion for admission is the performance of the applicant in a series of tests conducted by the IBA.

  • Initial screening is done through an aptitude test
  • The successful candidates then appear in an interview
  • Before the Interview, candidates are evaluated through group discussion. where their communication skills, confidence, maturity and leadership potential are assessed.

Test Format

In an effort to deter test preparation, IBA consistently changes its test pattern each year and does not provide a sample paper with the prospectus. Hence, students applying to the college have no idea of what to expect in the test.

Test Preparation

For the effective preparation of IBA admission Test, a prospect test taker must prepare at least 17 sections in Math, Verbal, General Knowledge and IQ, so that a student covers all areas that may be tested.
